It's not anyones fault, these things happen. One day you're walking down the road and then suddenly.. BAM, you're agnostic.

My parents raised me differently, they wanted me to be "normal". I think deep down I always knew I was agnostic, I just didn't want to accept it. But now that I have, I feel wonderful, my life has changed and I'm truely happy.

This might be difficult for some of you, I mean you've known me for so long, I just hope that you'll be happy for me and you'll accept me for who I really am.

Thanks for the support guys =,) and hey, if there is anyone else out there who thinks they might be agnostic too. Then please, don't be afraid, come out of the closet and be yourself! Being agnostic is perfectly normal and is more acceptable now than it use to be in the past.

I suppose I understand agnosticism, in that the Will of God must be unknowable, either because it is so great it is beyond human understanding, or that it does not exist.

All told, I think the agnostic mindset is a pointless one. Strip away the extravagant clothes of religious doctrine and what are we left with?.. spirituality, pure and simple. Another word for self-transformation. Where the individual wants to take his soul is a matter of faith (with a small f).

I always thought agnosticism was the result of a 'Religion for Dummies' April fool's joke that got out of hand.

Everyone pretty much makes their own mind up about religion sooner or later. It could be heavily influenced by parents or social groups, but in the end people will go with what feels right for them. This doesn't include cults where people are brainwashed, though.

Me? I'm Catholic. Partly because I was raised that way, but I would change without hesitation if I thought it was the wrong choice. However, I have different beliefs to my parents and many other Catholics. I have a strong belief that pretty much all religions stem from the same source (not just the ones that come from the Old Testament) and that God exists, but it's the same God that all religions talk about. Even the non mono-theistic religions have many links to religions that believe in a single God figure.

Anyway, this is getting too deep for a jokey type of topic, so I'll leave it there.

What would you call someone who believes in God and Jesus and all that crap but really doesn't care?
