Anyone actually played this yet? I know it's been getting horrendous reviews, but the report in this month’s PC Gamer on the updates has me interested again. What they need to do is steal huge chunks from KOTOR - panzar would be an interesting addition, as would a battle arena as a kind of PvP lite, all the fun of fighting real people, but within the confines of an agreed environment where you can't get bullied by higher leveled players.

Intergalactic travel module coming later, sounds very interesting.

So what exactly do people do in the game now? Buy and sell nerf pelts?

Would doubt it - much like any MMORPG the vast majority of progression comes through regular, free updates which SW:G has already been peppered with. That's one of the reasons why you're paying a monthly subs fee. Traditional add-on packs only really come into play for major, drastic changes. In SW:G that's to allow space travel and combat.

There's already talk of a lot of the main problems being sorted through the free updates before the end of the year - mainly sorting out and providing a purpose for the professions, providing villages/towns for players' properties to be encorporated into, and a quicker way of traveling about.

There will proberly be about 4 expansion packs before the games sorted out

Doh! I think "panzer" was effecting my memory - you knew what I meant.

Think I'm going to be waiting until Jan to get SW:G, no broadband here until then. That said, likelyhood is the first time I see it in High Street Games Shop tempttion will over-cpme me, despite the fact I know I'll be paying over the odds, but it'll be in my hands straight away. Tactile.
