Sega Sports' PS2 Onslaught Begins
First screens of NFL 2K2 and NBA 2K2 on PS2. Plus, Sega to bring Tennis and College basketball.
September 6, 2001
This morning at the Sega Sports Summit in New York, Sega confirmed that NBA 2K2, College Basketball 2K2 and Tennis 2K2 will all be released on PlayStation 2. NBA 2K2 will arrive this fall, while Tennis 2K2 will see release before the end of the current fiscal year, ending March 31, 2002, and College Basketball 2K2 will be released in the general 2002 time frame.
In addition to announcing these titles, Sega also released the first screenshots of the PlayStation 2 versions of NFL 2K2 and NBA 2K2. As you'll be able to see from the screens, they're having no major problems developing on Sony's "difficult to program for" console, as they are both much improved over their Dreamcast counterparts.
