A fairly new band in the 'metal' genre (whatever that is nowadays). You can hear a lot of their influences on their debut album '...An Education in Rebellion'. Which is a pretty poor title to be honest, as the album has much more to do with good song structures than anything rebellious. Maybe it's to appeal to 'the kids'. But anyhoo....

Different songs bring to mind various artists (and, no, Limp Bizkit and Korn aren't amongst them!). 'Turn me on Mr. Deadman' has a Powerman 5000 groove to it. 'Trip with Jesus' could be Orgy. Though the biggest influence would have to be Alice in Chains. Whereas bands like Godsmack have taken the AIC influence, and churned out a third rate clone, TUU have written songs as good as AIC ever did. The lyrics may not be as interesting as yet, but they have the ear for melody and harmony.

Worth checking out. If they can find their own identity, they will be a band with a big future.
