If you haven't seen Jacob's Ladder starring Tim Robbins yet I'd highly recommend it. It's basically about a Vietnam veteran coming to terms with his actions during the war, but it goes MUCH deeper than that on many levels, dealing with religious beliefs, philosophy, horror, ethics, memory, psychology and many other areas. It's hard to believe that in essence it's basically a 'cracking' good horror movie. Remember the parts with Danny Aiello as his back doctor?
The film came out on video in 1990, but as far as I can work out it has never made it to DVD format, if anyone knows if it will or not I'd love to hear about it.
