Are you now old enough to tolerate, or even, heaven forbid, like, The Beautiful South?

They have a rather large fan base, but who are those fans? The middle aged, that who.

So are you old enough to like them?

Do you find their ironic songs witty?

Do you enjoy their simple ditties?

If you have then it's official.

Personally I can't stand them, damn stupid songs. Not funny, too bloody 'nice' by half.

There no real age of tolerance for the beautiful South, well actually I suppose when your ver old you won't hav very good hearing. You either have to be hard of hearing or just have no real taste in music.

I don't think it's necessarily age. Just bad taste, and a willingness to accept the music radio plays you. Heaven forbid actually making the effort to find out about other bands that are not played on the radio.

My girlfriend really likes the Beautiful South and she's only 22, but then she's from Hull, from where the Beautiful South did spring up from.

Some of their stuff is okay, it's not quite as middle aged as Dire Straits for example.

But then I have to say this, or she'll find out by secret girl ways and I won't get any sugar.

Can't STAND Beautiful South, especially that ugly git who sings most of theor songs.

The group initials, BS, are quite apt, I reckon.

She's a perfect 10...but she wears a 12..baby keep a little 2 for me...
