Okay, those twonks over at Freeserve have stopped me from using Freeserve Anytime so I had to use Unlimited Freeserve-which is basically the same.

They've now taken me off Unlimited as well, and even though my dad has made numerous threats to them, they still haven't resolved anything. We need to be on Unlimited to sign up for Anytime again, and they've taken us off it!

I may not be online for the next couple of days, I'm not sure, I could be back tonight.

Anyway, SR-keep giving away prizes, and keep posting everyone, but to a sensible limit.

Thanks for reading, Ant.

Also if you want to join up with Telewest get an existing member to refer you, you get your installation half price, and the member gets a month's bill free, quite a good deal that, now anyone signing up with Telewest give me a shout. :D

It's a shame really if you can't get your 512k cable modem, it really is. I live in a backwater place like Scotland and even I have a cable modem thanks to good old Telewest.

Broadband is not available everywhere. It's only currently within a certain radius of the exchange. Now places like London have many exchanges, so it's pretty easy to get access, but the further out you go, the worse it gets and there is currently nothing you can do about it. A lot of people don't even have access to ISDN yet, as their signal is too weak.

BT costs £5.99 for their Surftime package and they're fast too.

As much as Freeserve suck, I'm only paying about £4 or £5 a month for evening and weekend access at no extra cost.

If I could get it cheaper elsewhere I would, but as I do a large number of downloads lately (GAMECUBE vids) I'm not paying by the minute.

Mind you, my Freeserve email account has been scheduled for termination, and I haven't got a clue why.

Braodband costs anything from £150 to £1000 pounds per month for a lot of people.

It's not the cost of the service that adds up to this, but the cost of buying a new house near to an exchange that provides the broadband service....
