I think that Futurama is better than The Simpsons because It is more funny than The Simpsons and It takes A micky take of films and programs and I also like it because It is for older people.

Children of a Lesser Clod
CABF16
Original Airdate: 5/13/01

The Simpsons take advantage of one-time-only free classes at the YMCA. While Marge learns self-defense, Homer plays in the "Over 35 Basketball League" and promptly blows out his knee. During surgery, Homer falls off the gurney and injures his back, leaving him unable to work. Bored and lonely, Homer opens a home daycare center to keep himself occupied. To everyone's surprise, "Uncle Homer's Daycare" is a huge success and earns him a nomination at the "Good Guy Awards". Meanwhile, Bart and Lisa become jealous of Homer's attention towards other kids. They decide to edit the award show with some of their home videos. When Homer is presented with his trophy, the sabotaged footage is revealed and exposes him as a "beer-drinking meanie".

its soposed to be just like the older episodes.

Atleast there's one good thing about only having BBC 1,2,ITV 1 and Channel 4 is that we still have loads of brilliant episodes of the simpsons left to watch. WooHoo!

Phil Hartman got murdered? Oh my god, I never knew that. Lionel Hutz was a brilliant character - it's a shame he will never again grace our screens.

The Simpsons has really run low on steam and gags. Futurama is great because the style of joshing fits well with the characters. Apparently Matt Groening had a character just for Phil Hartman, but Phil Hartman was murdered by his wife (that's why you don't see anymore Lionel Hutz or Troy McClure). Also, Fry's first name is Phillip - as a tribute.

That was a great episode; but the one when Amy and Fry start going out made me laugh more - the bit where she's buying the car was brilliant Groening.

I agree that new Futurama beats new Simpsons, but nothing can beat the classic Simpsons episodes that came roughly around the 2nd to 3rd seasons. Those were simply class.

The new Futurama episodes are absolutely brilliant.

Has anyone seen the one where they find this type of food on another plant, they take it back to Earth and sell it, and then find out their living beings. I laughed more during that than in any Simpsons episode, although, Simpsons are classic as well.

We'll have to see how long Futurama lasts, unfortunately, I'm already seeing repeats of it...

They're both the same, aren't they really?

Adult-targetted cartoon humour. They both have a very similar 'style' to things, most likely due to the imfluence of Matt Groening.

Still, I prefer Futurama as it's new, and therefore not yet running low on steam.
