You see, I have just returned from the States, and seeing how they always have games released before us, I got Mario Kart Advance: Super Circuit.
Now, I'l give you some advice: Pre-order this game now, or at least rush to your local SR branch on Friday morning. It's that good.
Far from being like the SNES version, it seems more tilted towards the N64 oe: graphics included!
You get all your favourite characters: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, DK, Bowser and Wario.
You get your favourite weapons: Red/green shells (and triples), banana skins, boosts (mushrooms), stars (invincibility), and more.
Your favourite modes: 50cc, 100cc, 150cc, Mushroom, star, lightning, flower and special cups. You can even unlock the SNES tracks (or so I've heard)
The graphics are easily comparable to the '64 games, and so is the gameplay.
So, I wont say any more, as I dont want to totally spoil it, but my review will soon be up at UkReviews.com.
And one last thing...

But at the moment I'm still busy with F-Zero...
Though I would look into games, and make sure there are plenty YOU would like. Which I'm sure there will be :)
I guess they have, as you've decided not to answer ( to give me a pleasant surprise?) and you've said that it is closer to the N64 version than the SNES version.
I hope it has got gradient, as GTA doesn't, and the tracks are a little boring.
However, I also hope (and had heard) that most of the SNES tracks were in the game as well....
1) Yes, they have different abilities. *digs out manual*
Lightweight: (Peach, Toad, Yoshi) Great accelaration, low top speed, not slowed much by dirt, Knocked aside by heavier karts.
Middleweight: (Luigi, Mario) Balanced alternative to heavy/light classes.
Heavyweight: (Bowser, DK, Wario) Great top speed, but steering and accelaration require care. Knocks lighter karts aside. Bad slow-down off-track.
1). Do the characters have different attributes? Like in the SNES version Bowser was slow to accelerate, but had highest top speed.
2). Are the tracks all on the level, or do they have hills in them?
