I can still remember playing my first ever game on the PC - 'DUCKTALES'. That was back in 1990 when computer graphics were as pixilated as ever. Looking at the game a couple of weeks ago you cannot compare the graphics. The quality of graphics has increased tremdously over these past 10 years to what look like 'real' things as you would look at them outside. So what does the future hold you ask, well we can only guess. Perhaps graphics so realistic that you couldn't tell the difference between them and the real world.

I remember going to a friend's house and playing 'Tanks' on her Atari VCS. This is probably the first game I ever played on a home system. I recently saw a VCS in a shop and it reminded me of all those years ago. The problem is that we forget how bad some games really were and only remember the good ones.

I remember as far back as the first time i got my childish little hands on an amiga 600. What happened to those days eh? The days where you didn't have a care in the world and all you had to do to complete a game was know what jump left and right were, and now after all that we have primary and secondry fire, full 3d effects and to top it all of you can even side step. Who remembers road rash? now that was one of the classics when i was a kid i wold spend hours trying to get on to the final stage and when i did it was so great with the worst cop on there.
Those were the days.

Yes. but not only this, i remember running programs and games from dos.
Not only this i also remember buying my games on DISC!! Ahhhh.... imagine that, a whole game on one disc (1.4mb) imagine that.
Compare it to now - cdrom with 650-700mb or dvd with gigabites!!!
Games and programs have evolved tremendously over the past 10 years.
But also, the hard drive hmmm..... i remember 20mb as my first one, i now have 35gb!!!
Then the RAM, a measly 1mb - now we can have at least 256mb of ram!
And finally the processors hmmm..... 256!!!!!! ahhhhhhh..... now 1ghz is available.
Over these past 10 years technology has advanced in leaps and bounds!

Ah, yes. 1990. The good old days. All I had then was a 286 with 20Mb hard drive, EGA graphics (wow! 16 colours!) and 1MB of RAM. Things have come a long way since then... that machine wouldn't know a textured 3D polygon if it smacked it in the face. :)

I remember playing classic games on that machine like Centipede, TRON, Space Invaders, California Games and Leisure Suit Larry. Hmm, maybe I still have them hanging around on a 5.25" floppy disc somewhere...

Oh dear, makes you feel old, all this. :(
