I've played a build of it this weekend, don't ask me where from, I'll have to kill you.

I no longer have it (4Gb + files) but on my Geforce fx5600, 1.8Ghz machine,

Its fast. Fast and Smooth. At 1024 x 768.

Full detail. No Slowdown.

COOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. :) :) :)

My order for the full game is being placed NOW. I don't care when it comes out, I WANT IT.

It hasnt been written for the Radeon cards, its been written as proper DX9 which the FX cards cant do. So Valve had to spend lots of time creating a Optimised FX path to get the FX range of cards anywhere near the performance of the Radeon cards.

Oh definately not the finished product. It took some console commands and .ini file editing to get it running without crashing in the first place. Optimised FX path, as its been written for Raedon (whatever, I don't use them) cards.

Its still jaw dropping. As I've said, my order was placed yesterday. Valve will make a FORTUNE out of this product, and rightly so. Its just full of "How on EARTH have they managed to do that?" (From a coders prespective)

I had it from someone who works for a major UK development team. I can guarantee you that 9/10 development teams will have it. They are the biggest pirates going. The fact that I had the opportunity to see it doesn't change the fact that it was nicked in the first place. I wanted to see if I needed to upgrade again.

Turns out I dont.

Maybe he's Gigz in disguise?
Although having said that his latest posts do seem to make some sense.

I'm not sure he *can* speak English, at least not without aid from a translation book.

Aparantly, the hackers that nicked part of the source code for HL2 claimed the game was very unfinished and needed allot more work done to it. Though after reading PCG this month, it appears the hackers actually nabbed off with a very early, pre E3 version of the game, and now because of that we have to wait until next year to play it.

Upgrade. This game is going to blow the competition away. I was utterly stunned. Beg, steal or borrow for the cash.

Heh, I have the same (S3 DDR Savage Pro) on my motherboard. The GFX card was the first thing to be replaced.
