Doubt it, Japs are very keen to post video replays to prove their times, look at my site for example of some of their great F-Zero replays, if you've played Time Trial seriously you'll know how pixel perfect the are !

Or maybe they have the action replay disk cheat?

Does the game run at the same speed in PAL as NTSC? Or is it the usual Nintendo bodged conversion?
