When I download windows media player 9 series nothing works
First I downloaded the one for xp since I have it and it said the thing was'nt a valid windows 32 program. So then I downloaded the one for 95-2000 and that wont work! Does anyone have any ideas about how to solve my dillema?

Isn't it MP9 that comes with XP? I have the Windows ME version of 9 and it's not a noticable improvement, and it does not have the ability to speed up or slow down songs, although the XP version might.

I don't have much experience with XP, I'll say that at the beginning.
Doesn't XP have Media Player built in? If so then why do you need to download it? The best way to deal with updates to windows and its components is generally to use the windows update feature. Normally it sits on the top of the start menu.
