There are so many action films out there but there are those chosen few that are that extra bit special. Here are in my opinon, the Top 10 Action Films Of All Time.

10. Aliens
In the second installment of the series, the aliens unleash themselves on a half-prepared prey but the prey will not die without putting up a fight, as Sigourney Weaver shows as "Ripley".

9. Alien
The first bombardment of aliens sees more gruesome action with Sigourney Weaver, who plays "Ripley" as the prey, along with her aschemed ( and meaty ) colleagues.

8. Aliens 3
Ripley is well prepared this time around as the aliens are released yet again, with unfortunate circumstances for Ripley, as she discovers so very soon.

7. Alien Ressurection
In the fourth and currently final installment of the series. after the outcome of the last Alien film, Ripley has been cloned and is back to deal with the aliens one more time, or is it?

6. Saving Private Ryan
The fever pitch switches to a more serious note with this film. Set in war time and England have gone to war to fight with Germany. Tom Hanks stars. Much more gore than other action films, right up my street!

5. The Mummy
Creepy action curdled with ancient mythology in this thriller. Brandon Frasier stars and he has been sent to Egypt but when he gets there, he receives much more than he bargained for!

4. Hollow Man
Kevin Bacon stars as Hollow Man, a man who has been turned invisible, via a scientific experiment. He makes a lot more trouble than the scientists had hoped.

3. Dogma
A halarious comedy about religion, backed by the halarious antics of Jay and Silent Bob, a teenager and a fat middle aged man who think about...well, what teenagers think about.

2. Termiantor 2
Without a doubt, the best action movie I have ever seen...until I saw The Matrix. Arnie Schwarzanegger stars as the Termiantor, a machine made to pretect John Conor, played by Edward Ferlong. The special effects were amazing for their time and are still excellent for today's standards.

1. The Matrix
In my opinion, the best film ever made, very closely followed by Terminator 2. Cyber fighters go into the Matrix, a computer world to fight all that is evil and wrong with the world. Keanu Reaves stars as Neo and Carrie Anne Moss stars as Trinity, just 2 of the many stars in the Matrix. The bullet time segment has yet to be topped. I look foward to seeing The Matrix 2 and 3 soon.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!

How are the Alien films in that order. Alien is the best, then Aliens, the Alien Ressurection (which isn't bad) and Alien 3 is really poor. The first two though, are brilliant.

Anyway, I have no idea what order mine are but here are a few of my favourites.

Point Break, The Rock, Crimson Tide, Gladiator (if it's classed as an action) and Armageddon.

I'm sure there are more but that's what I can think of at the moment.

:)
