Did they bring out a great game recently? Nope.
Did they provide some amazing new content on their website? Nope.
Have they declared that they will be bringing out 100 new AAA titles on the X-Box next year? Nope again.
What they DID do was the following:
I bought a second hand copy of Evolution for the Dreamcast, but no instructions were included. I e-mailed Ubi Soft to see if they could provide the instructions, and received an e-mail response that they didn't keep them in stock, but would I like a photocopy? One week later, delivered 1st class post, a complete photocopied manual arrived. Free.
That's the kind of customer service that is VERY hard to find these days, because most large companies have customer service departments purely to handle complaints, and generally these departments cause more complaints to come in rather than solve existing ones.
But when you get service such as I received, it sticks in your mind, and next time I'm looking for any type of game, if it's a 50/50 choice between a couple of them, the one that's got Ubi Soft written on it will get the money every time from now on.
Great customer service.
Unless, you're not "one of them" are you?
FM?
Noooooo!
My God, they're French as well!
Not bad...
