Ok, I will level with you. I have never seen a LOTR film in my life, or read any of the books. But, I am a bit of a fan of these fantasy strategy style games, (having played Warcraft 3).

To be honest, I'm actually quite liking this so far. I have been busy and therefore haven't played it too much, but I like what I have played.
It's a half assed Warcraft wannabe, too many cut scenes, not enough fun. EA are also making a stratagy game based in the LOTR universe, but based on the films and that does look allot more promising than this effort.
Just bought it. I will report back later.
Im interested in this too, although i will be looking at reviews before i make up my mind.
I played the demo and I wasn't too impressed. It TRIES to be Warcraft 3 very hard but I think it fails.
