why did sony only put two two controller ports in the playstation 2.Why did they bother with another multi tap,is it just another way of robbing your money after robbing you of £300 for the console itself.Look at the consoles out at the moment,N64 has four controller ports and its probably the best multiplayer console out(not to mention that it has the best games).

So next time sony makes a console why dont they put FOUR controller ports like any decent console would have.

Yes, of course. That's why they're currently in the process of giving £10 to everyone who pre-ordered their PS2 and has now bought GT3.

The multiplayer games on the PS2 are very good, If they built the console with four ports they would have been following the crowd, although they would have sold the same amount of units either way, Turbonutter (SR Regular) said in the other Multitap topic that PS2 controllers are the same as the PS1 so they couldn't use a 4 port machine, or something like that. Anyway, have you got a PS2 and a multitap? if I had a PS2 i'd buy one, I guess Sony know this and instead of thinking about saving the customer's money they want them to spend it, and spend it as much as possible + it gives them a chance for third party business's to buy the copyright and therefore Sony make more money.....
