School Daze epitamises classic gaming for me. Sat in front of my old Spectrum+ with the gammy tape connecter held together with cellotape and causing as much mayhem as I could. I'll admit I had no idea as to the aim of the game as I was playing it before I could read properly, however the simple P for 'punch' and J for 'jump' controls led to hours of living out fantasies of what I wanted to do in real life. Being late for classes, sitting on the floor and puching the wandering headmaster who gave you lines everytime you did something wrong was so much fun for a four year old child. However the game was just that - decent and simple fun. I never knew a single person who played that game to get through the whole day, everyone just had competitions to see who could get expelled quickest! To think that these days kids grow up with Final Fantasy...

Yeah, I didn't get Skool Daze but I did get Back 2 Skool wich was pretty similar. I remember having to escape from the school out a window during class to go and visit the girls school.
I played it on a spectrum as well. I spilt some coke on the tape but it still loaded.... just.

This game was the absolute best!! I'm sure my school got off lightly thanks to me taking out my frustration on this game!!

I played it on a Spectrum +2 with a dodgy tape head on the built-in tape recorder. Took six bloody weeks to repair at Dixons!!!!!
