There are rumours that Capcom have decided to release a Playstation 2 version of the arcade game Resident Evil: Gun Survivor 2. This is to be based on the arcade game formerly titled Resident Evil: Fire Zone (that is it's name in Japan) with is a two player game. This arcade game was in-turn based on Resident Evil: Code Veronica. In the game the first player plays as Chris Redfield and the second players plays as Steve Burnside.

Capcom officials have not yet confirm the PS2 port of the game, only saying that the company is considering the game for console conversion, as it does with all its arcade products.

Seeing as though the first RE: Survivor was a BIG disappointment are Capcom taking a risk in releasing the second game in the Survivor series? Would you pay £40 and up for a game which predecessor was possibly one of the worst PSX games ever made? Lets just hope some vast improvements have been made!

Your old G-con will work with time crises 2 but their is a new model bundled with the game. Time crises 2 is class we have it in our bowling alley. It's too easy though.

ace 2 player!!!

Survivor 2 is supposed to good, The arcade version uses the actual gun as the joystick, move gun forward to go forward, turn gun left to move left and to move the sideways you tilt the gun. To fire just aim and shoot, The problem is the PS2 version will probably have the god awful control system like the orginal, press trigger twice off screen to run and use the side buttons for directions.

It would have been alright if you could use your second controller to move and the gun but maybe for survivor 2.

I'm a big fan of the RE games, but I was disappointed with Gun Survivor.

I will probably only buy version 2 if it's more exciting than the first. If it's on a par with something like, say, Time Crisis, then I'd definitely get it.
