Amusing from the perspective of someone who always believed that the PSX was about trying to rip money from the grasp of mindless Sonyphiles.
PSX spec is being downgraded to get it on the shelves before Christmas. I'll let you read for yourselves what will be missing (like MP3 support *mocks*), but this is a clear signal from Sony that what was originally supposed to be delivering a high quality product to both gamers and the entertainment system market, is now being compromised to maximise revenues.
What does it all mean? Nothing really, it'll stil sell by the boatload.
