You know the one, in Mario Sunshine. I think it's somehow linked to the water level mater in the top-right corner. Perhaps he has to keep the water in it above a certain limit and uses the thing on his back to do this. Do you see?

Nope I don't see, I reckon its like Diddy Kongs jetpac in DK64. Maybe its like Luigis vacumn cleaner in Luigis mansion I really don't know. Miyamoto said he was gonna make Mario more mature maybe its a gun of some kind (I hope its not).

As for that thing on Mazza's back don't know but it has something to do with water because the back pack is filled with it.

I am well aware that Camelot are making it Tiltawhirl (read my Spaceworld report) but I can assure you that nothing goes unless Miyamoto-san approves. It's the same situation with Metroid PRime. Both these titles have been handed out to second parties coz Nintendo themselves haven't got the capacity to produce titles for all their franchises themselves. However, shigsy will be keeping a close eye on all of them.
What's the matter with you lot?! This is the sequel to Mario 64 for cripes sake! Don't you care?!
Prehaps it is for putting stuff in. On Zelda Link walks around with about 10000kg worth of equipment that seems to be invisible and appear magically when you select them and he has nothing to carry them in. Nintendo is probably trying to make the game seem more realistic in that sense. Maybe?
Perhaps it's a giant solar panel so that Peach can use her new electric oven to make Mario another cake...
