Did Preacher change the way you view the world or merely numb you with repititive sex and violence?
Have the X-men got old and tired or has Grant Morrison's new run made them seem fresh again?
Is it me or did all the best comics writers start working in 2000AD?
Is Spiderman an annoying moaning teenager or a heroic but troubled young man?
Is Tim Burton's Batman the best comic adaptation or did the movie of Captain America rock more?
It was pretty much used as a training ground for aspiring artists/writers, but then thats not really a bad thing as the general quality of the strips was very good. Look at Alan Moore for example, plenty of coverage in 200AD, now associated with popular titles such as Watchmen, Batman: The Killing Joke, various Swamp Thing, Superman, Miracleman and Spawn, V for Vendetta, hardly a nobody.
Dave Gibbons, another notable from 200AD, ended up at DC writing Batman and the Green Lantern, as well as working on the Watchmen with Moore. Alan Grant as well, plenty of well respected writers penned storylines in 200AD's pages, to go on to bigger and better things.
I pretty much stopped reading comics when I went to college, though I still have the odd graphic novel lying around. DR and Quinch's Totally Awesome Guide to Life is first class.
