You can keep your Playstations and N64s, the only console I will ever look back on with fond memories is the NES. Way back wehen I was about 6 or 67 I got one as a Christmas present and it started me on the road of a lifetime (well, 8 years) of gaming. I may have 14 games for my N64 but most of these are instantly forgetable compared to old classics such as Mario 3 and The Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy. I only ever owned 3 games for my NES but they lasted me about 4 years, with my N64, a game takes about a few months before I get bored with it. It’s funny, as the hardware gets better, the games seem to get worse. Maybye it’s because developers spent less time on spangly new graphics and ultr-realistic sound systems and concentrated on the gameplay in the olden days. Nowadays games are technically much better than the games on the NES but they don’t have the same depth and lifespan.
Mario 3 had 8 worlds to play through, each with roughly 10 levels which gave a grand total of 80 levels. Most of the latest platform games have about 8 worlds with only a handful of challenges in them. Guess which one I prefer.
