Button Bashers are the worst types of games on ALL consoles! You basically do the same thing over and over again no matter which mode you go on.

You sometimes even find yourself reading while playing, which proves 2 things:

1:They are boring

2:They take no skill or technique

That was the only reason I liked him, basicly. I hate him now because it was considered "unfair" when he got killed, so I tried making a game fair by giving him a +5 handicap, but that wasn't enough, so we decided that I wasn't allowed to do anything but run around until he got a weapon, but that wasn't enough, so we added the fact that he was allowed to stand in the place where body armour appeared for the whole match and I had to go without, but that was still "unfair", so I basicly blew my top then and kicked him out.

My idea of a "fair" game is a game with no cheats, no handicaps, ramdonly generated weapons so that no-one can just choose their favourites, a ramdomly chosen/generated level so that no-one could choose their favourites and no special options like King of the Hill. A basic conbat game with all the above preferences is considered "fair" by me, and strangely enough, when I began playing like that without that so-called friend, I managed to get more friends and more people challenged me to deathmatches.

I'm glad I kicked him out.

Some people (like the kid who lives across the road from me) like to see shoot 'em ups as button bashers. Last time I played a game of GoldenEye against him, he was 9-ish years old. You should see him playing a deathmatch of Goldeneye against me. I can be miles away from him, I just fire my gun at a wall and he starts button bashing. It was a real laugh taking the mick like that. Whenever I fired a gun he always thought I was shooting at him and started doing frantic button bashing to get away. Hilarious that was. But then, I started to hate him because it was considered "unfair" if I ever killed him in Goldeneye. I eventually got rid of him and I haven't played him since. He must be about 12 now.

Yeah, hate the little blighters. They used to be fun because in the olden days, we all liked a good ol' button basher as we did not care much for anything else. Now, all we look for in a game is graphics. Most of the time, anyway.

They use to be fun - When I had my Master System the best button basher had to be Olympic Gold - Must have got through about six joypads though, they just kept falling apart!!
I do enjoy the odd game of International Track + Field mind!!
