Ive just got meself a bargain audigy2 soundcard OEM unboxed etc... (still came with Hitman2 and all the software bits and bobs) and I have to say that creative's own "Mediasource" player is crap.
Windows Media Player 9 is just so much better at churning out those tunes.The only thing Ill be using the Creative player package for is the EAX music and environmental effects, which thankfully still remain effective when using The windows media player.
Also now that Ive disabled my 5.1 onboard audio Ive lost use of my centre speaker for music :-(
Although admittedly the surround sound when playing music on this board (once you find the right EAX control) is awesome.
Off to test Max Payne2 now...
