"ITV Sport... info needed ?"

Anyone got the ITV Sport Channel. Whats it like, is it worth getting?

I think Sky always had the upper hand. They converted nearly all the old sky customers to sky digital, so they had a huge lead. Sky digital also has loads more chanels dont it? i only got normal cable so i dont know.

That's a damn shame... more monopoly for Sky/Murdoch.

Due to the small number of subscribers to ITV Digital (or the old Ondigital) the general belief is that ITV Digital will not be able to continue showing exclusive football coverage to such a small audience. They have paid a vast sum to show football to a small section of the watching public. I read an arcticle at the weekend which said ITV Digital are likely negotiate a deal with Sky before the season is out. Sky viewers will then have access to everything. This will kill ITV Digital off completely - as Sky will have everything ITV Digital has to offer and much more.

Although thier premiershop show on saturday is a complete and utter bore, I think the highlights program they have during the week are pritty damn good. I think the audience adds somthin special to it.

I get both ITV Sport and Sport Select channels through NTL - £9.99 for both, get the pay per views aswell!!
Im quite impressed with what I have seen of ITV Sport - The highlight shows are pretty good!!

There other waays of getting the ITV sport channel. I wont say how but i get it in a different way ;-)

Anyway, i watched the Villa v United game on sunday and they gave pritty good coverage of the game. Not as good as sky sports but much better than anything the BBC ever do.

The only downside is they dont annalyse the game afterwards as much as i would like. The only do it for about 10 minutes. On Monday night Football Sky usually have a half hour analysis of the game.

Ant: Annoyed with ITV for going to NTL rather than Sky.

I get ITV Sport and ITV Sport Select.

To be honest, I haven't watched ITV Sport at all yet... I only got it for the Champion's League games.

ITV Sport Select gives you all of the Sky PPV games, too.

ITV Sport is £6.99/month through NTL, and you can get ITV Sport Select (the PPV channel) for an extra £3/month - or pay per game as required.
