"Can somebody help me???"

For a time ago, i borrowed my Final Fantasy 9 away to a friend of mine. When i got it back i sat down to play it but realised that the controller didn´t work. I tried to put in another game to see if that worked but it didn´t. Then i borrowed a Playstation controller from my friend to see if it worked but it didn´t. Do anyone know what´s wrong?

I tried to take my memorycard out but it didn´t work.
I can´t see that the slot is broken either.

My Playstation have been broken before and it´s about a year since i bought new so i don´t think the machine is broken.
