Hello to all.

Yesterday I built my website. It was actually much easier than I thought it would be. However, there are still some qustions I have and wonder if anyone here can steer me in the right direction. Apologies if they appear very simple - you must understand that this is my first attempt and I'm not particularly skilled at it.

so, in the Gallery page, how can I create folders to put a particular set of pictures in? At present they have all just be tossed in together with no discernable way of telling what is what.

Okay, I think I've got the hang of it now. I must say though that I would prefer to see see named folders that will open with a set of pictures rather than having to scroll down through every picture to find the ones I want. Perhaps an update for the future.

Thanks for all your kind comments and assistance.

They certainly bring a spot of hilarity to an otherwise grey Sunday morning - like'em :-)

You can also create section headings for your images in your Gallery.

If you go in to edit your Gallery page, you will see that just above the list of images you have in place on the gallery page you have the option to 'Insert Section Heading'.

You are able to insert as many of these headings as you require, and you are able to set the position at which these are inserted too.

So if you have 10 pictures of a wedding you can have a section titled 'Wedding', then after these pictures a further section titled 'Holiday 2009' with all relevant pictures underneath.

I've made a quick page in InstantPro to show how you might use section headings.

Have a look Here for a clearer idea of how this will look.

You could also follow Butch's advice and new page for each different subject matter. If you have a large number of images, that may be clearer for visitors to your site too.

Hello President (or should that be Mr President, Sir?) and welcome to the forums.

Unfortunately it is not currently possible to group pictures in folders, as such, all I can recommend at this stage is to have a separate gallery for specific events, dates or other themes.

Obviously we are always looking to improve the InstantPro service based on customer feedback to don't be scared to suggest this to the staff member responsible for such upgrades! :)
