T.E.S.K.C determines which sport is the greatest, by having different sports battle it out against eachother to become the extreme sports champion!
The competition is held over a week in August, and is predicted to be one of the best yet.
The first match-up was The Tennis Allstars versus The Frightening Football Team. This was a very hard match for both teams, especially so early on in the competition, but only 1 team could go through.
To make things fair both teams had to choose 1 piece of equipment to use, Tennis Allstars chose their rackets and The Frightening Football Team chose there lethal boots.
The ball that was going to be used in this match was to be a cricket ball. This was going to be interesting.
The umpire blew his whistle as the game started. But wait! The Frightening Football Team had just 1 less man out on the field..... A passer by told us that apparently he was caught sharpening his studs before the match, and was therefore shown the black card.
We cannot confirm this yet, but what we do know is that its going to be very hard for The Frightening Football Team, with 1 less player.
The Tennis Allstars had complete control of the game, using their rackets to great advantage, playing the ball over their oppositions head. But with a long game ahead it was unlikely the strings of their rackets for going to last....
A long hit from The Tennis Allstars caught the opposition unaware, as a player went through the defence like knife through butter hitting the at the stumps with ease.
Half time arrived and it was 1 - 0 to the Tennis Allstars leaving the Frightening Football Team with quite a bit of work.
The umpire starting the game, spinning the cricket ball high up into the sky. The sun obscure the vision of one of the Tennis Allstars players, as the ball bounced, not realising the umpire had put some deadly spin on the ball, it came back and hit him straight in the mouth! OUCH!
"Youre going home in an vauxall astra!" was the chant going around the stands, of the Oval.
With no subs allowed, The Tennis Allstars were down to the same amount of players as the Football Team.....
The game took a great turn around, with the Football Team, knocking the ball about with ease. A long distance volley from at least the boundary, the ball dipped and swerved, knocking the bails off the stumps cleanly, leaving the oppostions stranded. "Howz that!" one of the players shouted, as another said "QUCK QUACK....Thats a golden duck isnt it?!"
The game was pretty much dead from then on until Fulltime. Being a knockout competition the game had to be decided by sudden death. The teams had to knock the stumps from 20 yards using only their head, just to make things easy!
One of the football allstar players steps up....... *drum roll*
He balances the ball on his head, rolls it onto his neck, and flicks it towards the stumps. In all most slow motion the cricket ball flew into the air, it looked to high, way to high *smack* no not the stupms.... its hit a seagull. The cricket ball screamed back towards earth knocking the stumps into the ground. (No animals were hurt during this competiton)
Next stepped up The Tennis Allstars..... as he stood their trying to bounce the ball on the ground before he hit it, with no success, his strings were starting to loosen....
He balanced the ball on his head, rolled it down is shoulder onto his arm flicking it into the air, as he swings back his racket *snap*.... an air shot! Missed the ball totally..... That was it.... The football team were through to the next round!
Complaints could be heard coming from the Tennis Allstars changing room..... "Why didnt I get a second serve?".... I thought you had to win by 2 points?".......
It didnt matter what they said, the umpire had made his decision and awarded The Football Allstars with a well earned win into the next round of the competition where they will face the winners from The Rough and Ready Rugby Team Vs The Bouncing Basketball Team, where it was to be played on Wimbledon's Number 1 Tennis Court...... Which could be interesting!
