So will the delay of 2 weeks for the American launch cause the same thing to happen again. I for one hope not. I've heard rumors that the X-Box is gonna be short supplied on launch, so lets hope that it also gets delayed or doesn't have enough X-Box's to go around on launch. The only remaining good point is that even though the American launch is delayed, the Japanese launch of Gamecube will be way ahead of the X-Box's over there, so there's no worry of trillions of Japanese ppl lapping up the Gamecube.

Xbox slip levels the score
Web posted on 24/8/01
According to sources, the Xbox will now NOT be released in Japan this year, a possible four months after predicted dates.
Game most definitely on. After the announcement yesterday that the Gamecube would be released two weeks later than previously thought (putting it behind the Xbox), it seems the score has been levelled. Reports from the LA Times suggest that the Japanese launch will be delayed, and may not even happen this year - that's about four months after Microsoft's initial prediction. The American Xbox date still stands at November 8th, a full ten days ahead of the Gamecube.
Who said console wars are boring? Crazy fool! This is the best war ever, and it's only gonna get better!
> they will succeed over the x-box anyway because the x-box will have
> a disadvantage of being a first time company and ppl will not be
> sure if it can be any good.
I agree, ppl will wait to see what others think of it!
> the gamecube comes out 2 days before the xbox in america ! the xbox
> dosent come out before (or have the dates changed again ?????)
Whenever they come out there will still be big competition.
