Does anyone know if its possible to use the speakers from your stereo to get sound from your TV whilst playing the GC?

yep, you can use either the sacrt adaptor or the remaining AV lead to connect to your TV. (the scart connector tells you what colour lead does what if you look on it carefully)
Actually thinking about it... do you still leave the scart plug in but minus the 2 audio plugs (which now go into your stereo)?

I currently use the scart lead so im guessing if i split the 3 coloured wires up like you suggest then i may have to make do with the RF socket? if thats wrong then i appologise, this area isnt my strongest point exactly :P

I have mine connected by using the 3 AV leads (Red/Yellow/White) connect the picture one into the TV and the other two (Audio) into a surround sound system with AV inputs and Bob's your uncle, can't see another way of doing it unless you run your Cube throught your video.
