This month's topic is brought to you with happiness, though for the wrong reasons.
I'm happy, very much so, because this was the last issue of my subscription. Hurrah! No more sh!tty news articles, advert swamping, pointless cheats DVD plus the same A-Z cheats book as last month with a new cover. No more mindless fanyboy-ism, no more spelling mistakes.
Although they are right sometimes.
For example, this month, they scored Manhunt 30%. A totally reasonable score, methinks, for the most shallow, poorly cobbled-together, awfully tedious game I've ever played.
So thar.
FFX-2 gets 84% on import, mainly because of it's inaccessibility for those who haven't played FFX.
There's a big feature on Spyhunter 2, which I don't care about. I thought Spyhunter was the biggest dissapointment ever for various reasons. So meh to that.
GT4 Prologue gets 71%. But it's not even a game, so I don't know why they've reviewed it.
Siren gets 84%. Haven't read the review yet, but horror isn't my bag.
No outstanding reviews - most sub-70%, others much lower.
Some other stuff, like a very wrong release-date list, previews on a lot of boring games everyone already knows about. And a lot of ninja games.

Manhunt aint that bad c'mon.......
I keep buying PLAY although i don't know why, guess it's just a habit seeing as i've bought it ever since issue 1. Hopefully now that editor has left it might get back to how it was (in other words good) instead of running crap articles like *is there too much violence in video games*
Save that sort of stuff for the Daily Mail and review some bloody games (preferably before they've been out a month) and bring back PLAY TV!!! i don't need a crappy cheat disc.
