Hello all! My brother got a GC for Chrimbo so.....its mines as well :¬D
Got the Zelda's and Mario Kart pack with Resident Evil As Well.

Wondering what great multiplayer games there are out there. And what gems are also out. Thanx all.

I was thinking of the new Mario Party.

Merry Xmas!

Super Smash Bros: Melee, its always fun, Timesplitters two, great first person shooter, Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Outcast can be quite fun, but the best out of the games i have said would have to be Super Smash Bros: Melee, pure carnage on that sometimes, especially when im playing! :p But in truth, im tottaly pathetic at one player at that, those mission things, not the adventure or what have you! :p

Conflict: Desert Storm is as good a multiplayer game you'll get for the Gamecube.

If you're up for the Deathmatch side of things more than co-op, then it would have to be TimeSplitters 2.

Super Monkey Ball 2 is thoroughly excellent in the multiplayer department as well, though, and is super-challenging on your own as well. One of the best Gamecube games, despite the rather odd Story Mode.

There's Mario Sunshine and Metroid Prime of course, for single player gaming, which will both now be under £20 as they're in the Player's Choice range.

The best multiplayer games I've tried are:

Super Smash Brothers
Timesplitters 2
Soccer Slam

All are pretty much essential if you're into multiplayer.
Also, the following might be worth picking up if you can find them cheap:

Godzilla
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy
Monkey Ball (I always liked it but no one else I knew did so it never made the "A" list - please note people, it does matter what other people think of a game if you want to play with them in a multiplayer game! ;-))

None of the others come to mind right now.

Bear in mind that i've not played F-Zero or Worms 3D so they might well be worth getting too, although you might want to put them off because they're still new and should be half price in about 6 months...

It's good but I wouldn't call it mind blowing.
Worth getting but I'd leave it a year or so when it's cheaper.
There's LOAD'S of classics to keep you going in the mean time! ;-)

I'd say Super Monkey Ball is better, just because it's more of a challenge, and it's crazee Japanese story mode cut-scenes.

Not great, but very good nonetheless. If it's multiplayer you're after, though, Mario Kart can be a bit dull. Co-op is excellent, but battle mode is kind of poor. I would say Super Smash Bros. Melee (very cheap now), F-Zero GX and Mario Party 5 are better for multiplayer fun.
