i played a demo of it and really liked it but i was wondering if it was worth getting when i dont have broadband?

Yes, the game rules even if you don't have broadband. Once you clock the game you unlock new guns and allas.

Broadband only anyway isn't it? and the single player mode, unless you like idiotic AI giving you away at every possible opportunity, isn't really up to much compared to other games in the genre

Or you could have gone to PC World on boxing day and picked up a new copy of SOCOM and headset for a measly 24.99.

The single player is still good. But it really does excel online. Might be worth waiting for Socom 2 to come out and get that or try and pick up socom a bit cheaper.
