I am confused by several things which i think could be slowing my PC down. First of all, the KT7A manual says to avoid IRQ sharing you should put your PCI cards in Slots 2+3, whilst www.viahardware.com says that if you have two PCI cards then it is best to put them in PCI slots 4+5, but the Manual says these slots share some IRQs. Finally, in device manager in My Computer Properties my Modem is registered as being in COM3, this is PCI slot 3 isn't it, but my modem is actually in Slot 4. Just what the hell is going on? Can you help me please?
