Here’s another simulation game idea.
The interface would be a lot like 'Theme Hospital' except this time you have to design an run your very own shopping center.
Select a place in the world you would like to begin construction, each with different advantages and disadvantages and costing a bit more than the other.
Select how close to the city you would like to be, the closer you are the more people you will attract but more money is required to buy the land, then choose a plot and begin.
You would start with one clear floor and would need to build shops, so highlight a space with the mouse and build a wall around it, as big or small and any shape you want it to be and then add some windows and doors.
This would be a lot like the room construction of 'Theme Hospital', however you would not furnish the room just leave them empty and move onto the next room.
After you have your entire floor full of rooms you can then start to furnish the corridors with plants, benches, decorations, and water features, then construct an information kiosk and security office if you want to.
If you feel the ground floor is not big enough then construct another floor on top, add some lifts and escalators and then start the room building off again, furnish corridors and when your ready you can start to receive contracts from shops and food caterers, the game then turns into ‘Airport Inc’ where you can look at the application a shop is offering and accept or decline it.
If you accept the shops proposal then they will move into the plot that they asked for and start building their store.
When the shops are ready they will notify the player and you can then open for business.
The player will then need to look for staff to work in the shopping center, the shops themselves will hire the staff that will work in their own shops, but the player will need cleaners and security personnel to walk the centers floor, and troubleshooters to assist the happy shoppers if they require it.
Watch the little Sims walk into the shops and spend there hard earned cash, watch them come in with a handbag and leave with a trolley full of ASDA bags.
You can install CCTV cameras if your own security are doing a lousy job and place bins around if the cleaners are not performing as well as they could do.
The Sims would act like they would in real life i.e. the lady’s go into the food, cloths and cosmetic shops, men go into Sport and Video/CD (and the other shops men go into) and kids go into toy shops.
Click on the Sims to see what they think of the shopping center, they may think it is the best thing since sliced bread or they may tell you that the shops are awkward to get to and need improving.
Set prices in the car park and if you feel mean charge an admission fee.
Problems may occur with naughty looking teenagers that want to swipe items off shelves or paint that nice white wall upstairs into a picture or perhaps if people don’t like the shopping center there may be a message for the owner.
Watch out for the men in black as they might pay the bank a visit and there not they’re to make a deposit.
Clumsy Sims may turn up and play with machines or items so keep a fire extinguisher handy but if that fails your office has a phone so you can call for some help off the emergency services, that includes police, fire service and ambulance (just incase there is a medical emergency)
You can then sell shares on the market, compete with other shopping centers for control of the public.
When you think you have done every think you can get a surveyor out to price up the place and put her up for sale.
Then you can start off again in another place perhaps with a bigger population and bigger city, you may find more shops available and more customers but there will be lots more problems too.

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
I am delighted.
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do. I am delighted.
