Why did I choose to get this? Well, one thing was the light problem, which has been fixed, another is that it costs a fraction of the price of an SP and an added bonus in that you can use the 3D stick, which is perfect for games like Mario & Luigi.
But there's one aspect of the GB Player that really appeale to me; the ability to play GBA games with 4 controllers for multiplayer, meaning I could finally get a chance to play Four Swords.
But I can't. Nitnendo decided you have to link up another 3 GBA's in order to play multiplayer. Now what the forks the point in that? It's not as if there isn't enough room on the TV for four screens, there's enough for 8 for gods sake, yet you still have to link up 3 more GBA's to play.
I'm wondering if there really was any point of getting it now, seeing as that was the main reason I wanted to get it. It just really annoys me that something perfectly possible is excluded because a) Nintendo couldn't be bothered or b) they wanted more people to buy multiple game paks and GBA's in order to play.
Stupid, stupid Nintendo.
So essentially I have another GBA attached to my GameCube, when I could have got, say, a new game, or a few bargain price ones.
Well at least I now know people on this forum won't be deceived into thinking multiplayer is possible. Even though I probably just made it up in my mind and decided it was true. Although I'm sure I heard it somewhere. And knowing that other people won't suffer like me is kind of depressing. Oh well.
By the way do you think it would be a good idea for Nintendo to market their next system and handheld as one entity?
Avalible seperatly and together.
It makes your GameCube into a 16-32-bit games machine :D
Monkey Ball 1/2, Smash Bros, Timesplitters 2, Mario Kart.......
Best multi games ever.
No need for rubbish extra stuff.
The fact is many of GBA's multiplayer games... such as four swords relies on players not seeing what the other player is doing and you cannot do that using a split screen system.
You would be playing, most likely, againt other GBA owners anyway... and i'm sure you've told me you own a GBA anyway.
Damn, I've been making far too many typo's recently.
