I heard its going to be Windows Xp second edition, or windows longhorn (But i just think that's the code name) and some people say it runs on differant types of hardware and you will need to buy new types of RAm processor, etc.

Any one heard anything?

For an Alpha test version you would need to work for Microsoft's testing department. For a Beta test version you would need to be a member of Microsofts beta testing community. You sign up and get to test stuff. But it is for advanced users.

There is a version floating around at the moment, one that was shown to journalists in Asia, who sold it. A search on the internet for Longhorn might find it.

Why do you want to get hold of the new Windows? It isn't finished yet. All buggy still. And completely unsupported. So if you did get your hands on it, you wouldn't get any help from anyone. Stick with XP.

Wont be out til 2005/6 retail. Microsoft want to cut down on piracy etc, so what they are developing is a way to intergrate software into hardware so to speak. Basically your whole computer will be as one and even changing the CD drive could cause problems. Well thats what I heard anyway. I dont know if this will be for the new Windows, but it could be implemented in part, so upgrading to Longhorn could mean getting a new PC or having to buy it. There is a Alpha/Beta out at the moment which you could install if you had a spare disc drive or computer to try it out on.
