I looked at the complaints and it hit me.
Some people just don't get it.
Firstly, why the fuss?
Getting your name in gold earns you no extra rewards, power or respect.
EVERY single notable made their name.
I had full respect for every single one of them (From the original 5 to wookie and PB) when their name was in purple.
Wookie deserved it.
What was his campaign? A joke consisting of a bunch of policies which he obviously wouldn't do.
His votes were simply down to the fact that he's a first class writer and a regular here.
PB's victory was even more impressive.
He didn't ask for a single vote. He didn't even hint about the elections. He just wrote good stuff.
That is why he got the unanamous votes from all 7 notables, Tony and a few other people too (myself included).
That is why he was rightfully given notable status.
Notable isn't all about getting the most votes.
That is a way used to determine who should be one but it's not a golden rule.
It became obvious that PB is an important and respected writer here so he has been highlighted for it.
Why someone should go kick up a fuss about that is beyond me.
It didn't stop anyone else being a notable so no damage was done.
Notable is simply being highlighted for being a good writer.
Any fame or respect they have, they hade when their name was in purple too.
The gold just points them out to people who don't know them so well. It makes them a little more "notable"
Do you see?
Golden names point out the handicapped people :-D
Whats all this about not-able?
(sorry i have done that loads)
I meant from the first notables to the most recent ones INCLUDING Sheepy and Er-no.
Honestly...
