Like all things it seems computer games are "best taken in moderation", think of it like alcohol (well those old enough to drink it can) its good if you don't over do it, go to far and you pay for it in the morning and could be even fatal if you continue to do so.
Well aparently games are the same, if you play them non stop then you can cause yourself some pretty nasty problems. Firstly you could damage your sight, not just linked to games but also to watching to much tv.

One of the biggest problems is children not getting enough exercise as they just sit in and play games and eat. Which leads to the problem of overweight kids. Not getting enough exercise is very bad for the body and can lead to extra pressure being exerted on the heart. Give you a higher risk of diseases and problems like heart attacks.

New research shows that kids who play games to much can become more violent and anti-social than others. Although I guess it does come down to the type of person you are. Some games seem to get alot of hassle from the media, they get blamed for problems in children which I disagree with. The main problem is with the children and/or their parents. Children shouldn't be playing games that have a rating older than them. Its the law, yet so many children do and there parents don't mind as they don't really understand the risks. Although most of us know the difference between games and real life some unstable children use games as role models and like to copy what they see.
Games have been blamed as the cause of children shooting others in schools in America and also for children commiting suicide in Japan. Surely this alone proves that parents need to take more care into what kind of games their children play.

Don't miss out on valuable life skills, spending all day locked up in your room with your console could cause you to become a social outcast. Most of us have a long life ahead of us with lots to see and do. Don't miss out on the valuable stuff. Communication, love, careers and lots more. There will be plenty of time for games too.

What got me started on this was kids who live near me, they seem to spend all day in playing games, and they seem to miss out on alot of things, luckily their mum refuses to let them play for longer than two ours at a time. Also people who say some games don't last long enough, usually thats because they play them non-stop till the finish. You probably tink Im just waffling on and I probably am but remember there is more to life than games. Alot more. But don't give up games there too much fun to do that.

I think in some ways you are right, but i live in a pokey little village, there is nothing to do, and it is full of neds who want to walk about the streets and beat people up, it is not always the ideal place to live at times. So i usually stay in the house, i will play games and sometimes i will read or do something else.

So really in my little life, Is there more to life than games? not really......

More to life than games? Surely you are joking!
No, of course you are right - it's just at this moment in time I can't see anything beyond defeating that end of level boss! - Tomorrow I'll get a life....
