i have just bought the 2 GBA movie players from japan and i am passing the info onto you.
1) AM3 £21.21
the AM3 is portable light has great sound and picture but you can only use it with the midea cards you buy from them.

the MOVIE player is a 3rd party accessory and is very hard to get hold of you can use your own data and place it on a compact flash card but you need something that reads and writes compact flash cards. also most shops will not sell it.

It irritates me that you are able to play movies on the gba and not the gc.
Nothing new to be honest, guess you saw them on play-asia, they have also sold a lead to connect your GBA to your TV directly for 12 months.

Could be useful as a portable way of demoing ones work.
What sort of storage capacity does this have? Or does it depend on the size of the card you buy? Like with digital cameras.
