Yeah Rinbow six 3 is comming out on the PS2
Socom 2 comes with the headset (non headset version is also available)

Strongly advise you to get SOCOM then, SOCOM 2 is due out in march and Rainbow six 3 is out around them too. If you like SOCOM then you'll no doubt want them too.
I like games where you can never get bored with them, games like shoot-em-ups but im not into racing games cos not even gt4 can allow car damage, the only type of game that is getting more realistic is the shoop-em-ups. ( I also like FPS )
I'd say that its the best online game available at the moment. Depends what kind of games you like but it probably my favourite game of last year and the online fun is endless.
