You cant play the copied games on your PS2 without it getting chipped, which as you probally know voids your warranty. As for not recognising the disk, do you mean the PC wont detect the cd or copy it, well if so, some games are dvd format or something so may not copy on your writer. Hope this helps.

To save origionals. I have had a couple of games destroyed. So now when I buy a new game I make a copy and use it instead. If the copy gets damaged I simply burn another one.

Destroyed by the PS2?

If so, it's faulty - phone Sony and they will send you a new one within 2 days.

Well if the game is DVD then unless you have a DVD writer and a DVD rom you wont be able to do it. You could try Blind read as this usually works for PC games but can take ages.

ummmm, unless your psx2 is chipped, the backups will be as usefull as beermats.

Also, very very few copies will work without moving the system.cnf file to the correct LBA on the cdrom (not difficult but tricky) inorder for them to 'boot'. The discs also include copy protection to detect an original disc is either a CDrom OR a DVD.

You're wasting you're time.
