Surely I'm not the only person who thinks the BBC is overly biased against the Gamecube?

Not only does it's pathetic PS2-centered games pages on teletext produce mountains of Sony propaganda every week, it's posted yet another article about how Nintendo are apparently in trouble and the Cube is failing on the day that Nintendo releases sales figures that put them in second place worldwide in the 'console war'.

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3397649.stm

There's no real point in putting an article up about it, it's not real news.. just some badly informed quotes from an "American marketing executive".

Search on BBC News for Nintendo and there are plenty of stories about how the Cube is failing. Example: news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/3049609.stm

Umm.. no it doesn't.

It plays games downloaded from machines in shops which so far comprise of a few N64 and Snes titles. No NES, or "all kinds of GB games".

Oh, and if he still means `bad´... I guess it is bad news for him and his PS.2.... ;)

If by "bad" he really means that things are `different´, then, he is actually right, since, things are actually different now - with the GameCube selling better-than-ever!

You'd expect the BBC to have journalists that could realise that the N5 and iQue are different consoles. Pity.

Ninty's latest console is the iQue which, as said below, is for China.

It's basically a controller that plugs into your TV and plays N64 games.

After reading both those articles, I can conclude that the BBC know nothing. Industry analysts? Pish. Almost everyone on this site could do their job better.

He may be referring to the one for China. If he's not too knowledgeable on the subject that could have confused him.

Biased? Maybe. Oh well.

The BBC are just so one sided. (I didn't want to use the word biased again).
The Cube will not 'suffer'. Great games have just come out such as Mario Kart and F Zero GX.

It'd be nice if market anaylysts sat down and looked at the selction of games on each console and played a few.

Still, the Cube seems to be getting better at the moment. Excellent.
