Whether its an emotional moment that has you reaching for the tissues , or an absolutely hilarious moment that has you rolling about with laughter! Every great game has a moment that you’ll remember. Here are the 5 that stick in my head the most!
5. GOLDENEYE – SOMEONE FORGOT TO FLUSH!
One of the best levels in Goldeneye starts with a ruthless toilet execution! Your in a ventilation shaft and have just spotted an opening for you to get out of , but before you get your fine suit wet and drop into the toilet below , you notice someone in another cubicle. You have a silenced pistol , so there is no risk of being heard , so without hesitation you let rip! The poor fella didn’t even get the chance to finish!
4. RESIDENT EVIL – BAD DOGS!
The original Resident Evil is packed with jump a mile moments , but the ‘dog through the window’ moment is probably the best! You’ve been playing the game for a few minutes , and have yet to witness a moment of pant filling horror. You enter a rather nice hallway with some lovely display cabinets , but you ignore them and continue with your quest , but as you run past a window , 2 great big Doberman’s barge in , and they don’t want to play fetch! You’ll jump a mile! Put the pad in a friends hand and they will too!
3. METAL GEAR SOLID – PSYCHO MANTIS SHOWDOWN!
MGS is another game packed with loads of brilliant moments. But one of the best is the fight with Psycho Mantis! After attempting to beat him loads of times (but failing because he can dodge all your attacks!) you have a great idea! You put the joypad in port 2 and he can’t read your mind! Meaning you can finish him off easily. But when you do , you almost feel sorry for the chap!
2. FINAL FANTASY VII – THE COOL BIKE CHASE!!
Final Fantasy 7 is probably the best RPG ever , and is packed with some brilliant moments. But this is the best! You are escaping from a huge building , and need a quick getaway , your team-mates hop into a cool little truck thingy , while you go for an unbelievably cool bike! What follows is a Road Rash style mini game where you must get rid of all your opponents by whacking them with that huge sword you have! Class.
1. ZELDA: OCARINA OF TIME – THE GORON DANCES!
Zelda is an absolutely fantastic game. Its funniest moment is where you make the leader of the Goron’s dance! Link is a bit of a whizz on the Ocarina , and decides to make the leader of the Goron’s smile for a change! So you quickly whip out your trusty Ocarina , and play the coolest song in the game! He stands up , starts to tap his feet , then does an absolutely hilarious dance! His facial expression is the icing on the cake! Brilliant!
