I've gone round Weapon Master twice now, I'm level 79, I've bought EVERY weapon, EVERY Costume, and have unlocked Assasin, Berserker, and Lizardman (every character is un-locked when you go to the Vs. Battle screen).

So, I'm thinking that you can't unlock Inferno, but I'm not entirely convinced.

Can you unlock Inferno as a playable character? And, if so; how?

What, that's the answer! I can't exactly elaborate on how it's not possible to unlock Inferno can I? You just can't. He isn't playable. The end.
