I've found a way to beat the Impossible Challenge in Ratchet and Clank 2! (Note: I did this in Challenge Mode, so it was harder).
Use the Heavy Lancer to kill as many enemies as you can at first, to save ammo for your other weapons. Use the Zodiac if there are four Purple Charging Enemies (real names, anyone?) around you, but make sure you can see them all to kill them all. Whenever you get to a sixth round, jump into the middle for a Cage Match lasting a few rounds, before switching back to normal mode. The Mega Heavy Bouncer and Mega MegaTurrets are your friends here. In the final round you'll face Megapede - use the RYNO II on him. If you beat this, you'll get a Skill Point AND a new costume! If you do it in normal mode, I think you get soemthign like 200,000 Bolts, but in Challenge Mode, you get 2,000,000 Bolts!
