I have the 9800 Pro and can say its a great card. You could probably overclock it to the XT speeds and get the same sort of performance, as I dont think 256mb makes too much difference at the moment.
If your getting one and have the money then the XT for £350 from the above link would be a good one to get. You could save the money and overclock it but you could damage the card or get problems with system stability.
Or, if you are feeling a bit adventourous you could always buy an original 9800 and do the "softmod" trick, enabling it to run at pro speeds. But seeing as you've got on heck of a lot of money to burn there, you may aswell go the full hog and get a sweet card.
If I remember correctly, you've got a geforce 5200, right? Well you should notice a massive improvement when getting one of the top range beasts

I predict that soon after the expected announcements at the end of Feb from ATI and Nvidia regarding the dropping of the AGP standard and the uptake of PCI express - and the consequent preparation for a new wave of cards by retailers, we'll have ourselves 9800XTs for less than £250...
*Dont panic
There WILL be new cards based on the AGP standard till the end of 2004
Just a thought.
Guess this means I'm going to have to pump more money into my PC than expected - and a lot sooner than expected too.
Money grabbing pr!cks.
