1.2Ghz processor or sommin' and a 40Gig HD!
Been a while since I've bothered to play games on my PC (mainly cos it's still quite pish!) Simon The Sourcere was the last game! heh
The way this thing works is it is preinstalled with software for some 2000 PC games, and so when you insert the game, it installs it automatically and sets it all up. Then whenever you put the game in again, it works just like a normal console.
The thing I wonder tho is, I remember back when I did play PC games, that some had installs of around 2gig! How many games are you gonna be able to fit on this 40gig HD, and what happens when it's full?
It's an interesting idea this console, but at the speed that PC hardware advances, will it be able to keep up with the PC games market.(you can't update the hardware in it... well I'm sure some people will find a way one day) Supposedly you will be able to download new install things for games, and PATCHES (lol). But with reports that some current games play 'choppy' on the system, what does that say for a year or two down the line!?!
To me it sounds doomed to failure. But who knows, stranger things have happened!
