Just linking my PS2 up to a DTS / DD amp with the optical cable. Do any games provide DTS / DD soundtracks (GT3) or will the best I get be pro-logic provided by the amp.
I have set the DTS / DD settings to on in the audio setup (this is only available with a DVD in so I suspect these only apply to DVD films?).

I think the Bouncer is the only game so far (PAL at least) that has DD 5.1 featured in it (the cut-scenes).
But, dont buy this game. I did. Now i have to sell it. Should have listened to the reviews :(

The amp sound detect which sound sources are in the 5.1 format automatically. You can tell by shutting off the main and centre speakers, and checking that the rear channel is in stereo rather than mono through both speakers.

My yamaha has a digital display indicating which type of input is being supplied.

I'm not 100% sure but i don't think any games support 5:1 yet, bet you get great digital stereo sound though.
